AI Developer Experience Engineer

📋 Description

• Create and implement a comprehensive AI tooling onboarding system for the organization that automates the configuration and suggests suitable tools, workflows, and skill development paths tailored to individual roles, thereby minimizing the time it takes for both new and existing team members to become productive.

• Develop and oversee the infrastructure that facilitates the automatic deployment and configuration of AI tools across the organization, ensuring reliability, resilience, and proper telemetry coverage.

• Construct custom internal applications and frameworks around AI agents and tools, integrating systems that encompass engineering and cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and operations.

• Establish and maintain an AI usage dashboard that provides leadership and teams with insights into tool adoption, productivity metrics, and overall tooling health throughout the organization.

• Assess, integrate, and configure third-party AI tools (including coding assistants, LLM orchestration frameworks, agent platforms, and more) to align with the evolving needs of the organization.

• Utilize Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other AI coding agents to generate well-organized, maintainable code efficiently, while setting a higher standard for how the engineering team employs these tools in their workflows.

• Communicate effectively and consistently in an asynchronous remote environment, keeping stakeholders across teams updated on project progress, obstacles, and decisions without necessitating escalation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven engineering experience in building functional systems: you have delivered working software and comprehend how to architect a maintainable solution, not merely to make it operational.

• Practical experience with AI agents and LLM-based systems: you have developed harnesses, integrations, or tools on top of agent frameworks or LLM SDKs (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) and understand their practical behaviors.

• Established proficiency in working with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) as an integral part of your daily development routine: utilizing AI-assisted coding is a fundamental expectation for this role, rather than an occasional resource.

• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering: you are adept at working across various languages and stacks (Python, TypeScript, and others) and know how to effectively connect systems even when the specific tools are unfamiliar.

• Ability to execute independently: you can take a project brief, ask pertinent clarifying questions, and drive towards completion without needing continuous guidance; you proactively communicate and identify blockers early.

• A genuine curiosity and eagerness to remain at the forefront of AI tooling: you actively explore, venture into new areas, and view staying updated in a rapidly evolving field as part of your responsibilities, not a burden.
