AI Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Developing a contemporary, scalable enterprise data platform that facilitates analytics, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence.

• Producing reliable, governed data products that serve as the cornerstone for enterprise reporting and decision-making.

• Crafting dependable, automated data pipelines that unify our core business systems into a cohesive, scalable architecture.

• Setting engineering standards for data quality, governance, security, observability, and platform dependability.

• Collaborating with business and technology leaders to address intricate data challenges and unlock new capabilities throughout the organization.

• Assisting in defining the long-term vision and technical trajectory of Sangoma's enterprise data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess experience in constructing modern cloud-based data platforms and take pleasure in converting complex data into trustworthy, scalable solutions for the business.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms in AWS or a comparable cloud environment.

• Proficiency in building data pipelines utilizing Python and SQL.

• Knowledge of data modeling, transformation, and orchestration tools.

• Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or equivalent platforms.

• Competency in Git-based source control and CI/CD development practices.

• Ability to design reliable, secure, and well-governed data solutions.

• Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous: Snowflake or other cloud data platforms, AI and machine learning data pipelines, ERP and CRM platforms like NetSuite and Salesforce, search and vector database technologies.
