AI Core Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain agentic AI pipelines and workflows that automate intricate, multi-step reasoning and decision support tasks.

• Integrate and fine-tune large language models (LLMs), which includes prompt engineering, model assessment, and continuous improvement.

• Design and enhance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems that anchor AI outputs in DTN's reliable data and domain expertise.

• Construct and uphold AI platform infrastructure and observability tools — such as logging, monitoring, tracing, and evaluation frameworks for AI systems deployed in production.

• Utilize AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Strands Agents, to design scalable and dependable AI solutions.

• Work collaboratively with product managers, domain specialists, and fellow engineers to convert complex business requirements into AI-driven solutions.

• Foster a culture of engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of software engineering experience with a strong understanding of software fundamentals: APIs, testing, version control, and CI/CD.

• A solid background in Python and JavaScript, with developing expertise in full-stack development using Node.js, Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Practical experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., LangChain, Claude SDK, OpenAI APIs, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore).

• Experience in building or working with RAG pipelines, vector databases, or semantic search systems, along with knowledge of prompt engineering and model evaluation methods.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — capable of conveying complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
