This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design comprehensive computer vision pipelines aimed at real-world safety detection, encompassing object detection, tracking, semantic segmentation, multi-camera fusion, and more.
• Lead the technical strategy for edge and cloud perception, focusing on the optimization and deployment of models on constrained hardware without compromising accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with our hardware and firmware teams; since we manufacture our own devices, you will have a unique opportunity to co-design the entire stack.
• Utilize petabyte-scale multimodal data (including video, sensor inputs, telematics, and diagnostics) to train and refine production models.
• Remain at the forefront of computer vision and perception research, converting significant insights into deliverable products.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to senior scientists and engineers within the team.
• Clarify complex problems by translating customer and business requirements into specific, actionable engineering challenges.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Vision, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience as a scientist or machine learning engineer, with a background in leading end-to-end AI systems in production environments.
• In-depth knowledge of computer vision techniques (such as object detection, tracking, and segmentation) applicable to real-world settings.
• Proficient in multimodal perception and sensor fusion technologies (including camera, lidar, radar, GPS/IMU).
• Familiarity with transformer-based architectures and vision-language models (VLMs/VLAs).
• Experience in constructing and deploying real-time or edge machine learning systems optimized for low-latency inference.
• Proven track record of guiding systems from research phases to production deployment, including performance enhancements and scalability reliability.
