AI Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of automation and AI initiatives throughout the organization. Your role involves identifying manual, repetitive, or inefficient tasks and eliminating them using scripts, AI agents, and interconnected workflows.

• Report directly to the founder, choose your technology stack, and deliver results on a weekly basis.

• Develop AI Agents and LLM Workflows: create chatbots and AI assistants for tutor recruitment screening, addressing parent FAQs, and facilitating internal knowledge inquiries.

• Construct LLM pipelines that extract information from school district documents, IEPs, and contracts.

• Automate the production of district-ready impact reports, proposals, and outreach emails.

• Design RAG systems over internal documentation to enable the team to query company knowledge effectively.

• Integrate CRM, scheduling platforms, Google Workspace, email, and communication tools.

• Streamline tutor onboarding, document gathering, and compliance tracking processes.

• Synchronize data between systems to eliminate redundant copy-pasting tasks.

• Establish alerting and monitoring workflows (Slack/email notifications triggered by key events).

• Participate in developing lightweight internal tools: utilizing Google Apps Script, Airtable automations, and simple internal dashboards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building automations, integrations, or AI-driven tools.

• Practical experience with OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs, including prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and basic RAG.

• Proficient in Python or Node.js/TypeScript.

• Well-versed in automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier (expert level in at least one).

• Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and integrating SaaS tools.

• Exceptional written English skills; capable of independently scoping projects from a brief paragraph.

• Reliable internet connection and backup power/connection.

• Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Supabase pgvector, Weaviate).

• Knowledge of Google Apps Script and Airtable scripting.

• Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI) — with the ability to explain when not to utilize them.

• Previous experience with US companies or in the EdTech/education sector.
