This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• In the role of AI & Automation Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will continuously enhance and develop Jedox's proprietary AI cloud platform, facilitating expandable, secure, and automated AI, ML, and GenAI workloads.
• This technical position requires the design, construction, and management of resilient cloud infrastructures, establishing reusable standards and guaranteeing operational excellence in production environments.
• Design AI cloud solution architectures: Create and implement robust architectures for infrastructure, data, security, and integration patterns tailored for AI workloads.
• Enable AI, ML, and GenAI workloads: Develop reusable templates, standards, and architectures to ensure efficient deployment in the cloud.
• Collaborate across teams: Partner closely with the Cloud Platform, SRE, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable AI services.
• Implement GitOps workflows: Facilitate controlled environment processes based on pull requests for models, services, and infrastructure.
• Support the MLOps lifecycle: Assist in the deployment, promotion, rollback, and operational support of models.
• Ensure production readiness: Design systems for scalability, performance, and high availability in production settings, aiming for maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Strengthen observability, reliability, and security: Improve monitoring, incident response, and ensure compliance, data protection, and adherence to best practices.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in cloud engineering, platform, DevOps, or SRE roles, with a focus on enabling AI platforms.
• Strong practical experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure), encompassing networking, identity, storage, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads (AKS is preferred).
• Comprehensive understanding of AI/ML workloads, including the differences between training and inference, scaling behavior, and resource requirements.
• Practical experience in automation, GitOps, and MLOps principles (e.g., CI/CD, model lifecycle, Argo CD, and Helm).
• Experience with observability, reliability, and cost-effective cloud operations (e.g., monitoring stacks and FinOps fundamentals).
• A strong software engineering mindset, capable of creating maintainable automation, tools, or services.
• Highly driven to continuously learn and develop new skills.
• Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English communication, with a keen attention to detail.
