This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute and oversee audit procedures directly, encompassing planning, execution, and documentation.
• Assess and validate audit procedures, workpapers, and documentation generated by AI.
• Detect gaps, errors, inconsistencies, and edge cases in AI-generated audit results.
• Create quality review frameworks, checklists, and methodologies for audits enhanced by AI.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to enhance AI accuracy, reliability, and audit-awareness.
• Leverage practical audit experience to provide actionable feedback that influences product decisions and AI workflows.
• Keep abreast of professional standards (GAAS, PCAOB, IAASB) and ensure compliance in all outputs.
• Document best practices and assist in developing internal knowledge repositories.
• Establish ongoing feedback mechanisms to enhance AI performance over time.
• Interact directly with clients regarding audit methodology inquiries and assist in interpreting AI-generated content.
• Maintain client relationships and deadlines, ensuring that audit deliverables are completed accurately and punctually — coordinating with internal and client teams to keep engagements on schedule.
• Be adaptable and ready to assist with client calls, quality assurance, research, and workpaper reviews to ensure seamless execution.
• 5–7 years of audit experience with a robust foundation in audit methodology.
• Extensive knowledge of audit procedures, workpaper documentation, and relevant standards.
• Proficient in executing audit work directly while also evaluating and refining the underlying systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with technology, AI tools, and iterative workflows.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Active CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Previous experience using AI tools to enhance audit or analytical work (preferred).
• Clear insights regarding inefficiencies or gaps in conventional audit practices (preferred).
• Experience in designing processes, templates, checklists, or systems that have been adopted by others (preferred).
• Background in a startup or other fast-paced, unstructured environments (preferred).
• Experience working beyond traditional audit settings (industry, consulting, innovation roles, etc.) (preferred).
