AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and specify the comprehensive architecture for AI and machine learning solutions throughout the organization.

• Oversee the design, creation, and implementation of scalable AI systems, which include predictive models, generative AI, and intelligent automation.

• Establish the architecture for the AI platform, encompassing data pipelines, model training environments, MLOps frameworks, and strategies for model deployment.

• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to convert business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

• Assess and select suitable AI/ML frameworks, tools, and cloud services to bolster enterprise AI initiatives.

• Set best practices for model development, governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Create architectures for the integration of AI capabilities into enterprise applications, APIs, and business workflows.

• Ensure that AI solutions fulfill requirements for performance, scalability, security, and compliance.

• Spearhead technical decision-making concerning model infrastructure, LLM integration, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks.

• Promote the adoption of responsible AI practices, focusing on model explainability, bias mitigation, and ethical AI principles.

• Advise teams on AI architecture patterns such as RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), AI agents, and multi-model orchestration.

• Foster AI innovation by assessing emerging technologies and pinpointing opportunities for competitive advantage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• 4-6 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or machine learning systems.

• At least 2 years of experience in designing or implementing AI/ML architectures at scale.

• Significant experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

• Background in designing solutions utilizing Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Familiarity with implementing MLOps practices including model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and governance.

• Comprehensive understanding of data architectures including data lakes, feature stores, and real-time data pipelines.

• Experience with AI integration patterns such as APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search architectures.

• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to translate complex business challenges into AI solutions.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining intricate AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Advanced English proficiency (C1) is required.
