AI Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Create and develop AI agent workflows and systems powered by LLMs for practical business scenarios.

• Design and integrate tools for agents, which include APIs, internal services, databases, knowledge bases, and operational systems.

• Enhance the quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness of agents through thorough testing, assessment, and iterative improvements.

• Construct prompt frameworks, orchestration logic, memory or retrieval patterns, and facilitate human handoff processes as necessary.

• Collaborate with product, business, and operations teams to convert vague business challenges into actionable AI solutions.

• Contribute to backend services, internal platforms, and streamlined interfaces that support comprehensive delivery.

• Assist in defining reusable engineering patterns, guardrails, and evaluation strategies for production-level AI agents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• 0–3 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or relevant internships/projects.

• Strong foundational programming skills in Java or Python; familiarity with TypeScript or backend development is an advantage.

• Sound software engineering judgment, encompassing APIs, debugging, system design, and data management.

• A keen interest in LLMs, AI agents, tool utilization, retrieval, evaluation, and production AI systems.

• Capability to quickly grasp new domains and operate effectively in uncertain environments.

• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and enhancing AI-generated code, or the ability to learn to do so rapidly.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to link technical work to business outcomes.
