This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist in the execution of CATF’s agriculture methane strategy aimed at diminishing emissions within the sector.
• Leverage technical and scientific expertise to collaborate closely with the Methane Pollution Prevention (MPP) team, consultants, and various external partners.
• Offer technical and capacity-building support for initiatives focused on agriculture methane reduction.
• Promote robust national and subnational public policies targeted at decreasing methane emissions from agricultural practices.
• Conduct data collection and analysis alongside key stakeholders and partners to pinpoint opportunities for mitigating agriculture methane.
• Contribute to the advancement of the agriculture methane objectives and the MPP program at CATF.
• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in agriculture, agricultural economics, animal sciences, or veterinary sciences.
• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience within the livestock industry, with a strong understanding of cattle production systems in South America.
• Familiarity with agricultural policy in South America, especially as it pertains to livestock.
• Professional proficiency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese is mandatory.
• Exceptional technical writing skills, including proficiency in English and either Portuguese or Spanish.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valid passport and a willingness to travel, including internationally (approximately 30% of the time) for meetings and events.
