This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications that support initiatives for the modernization of VA healthcare.

• Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies, which include sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and demonstrations.

• Create and enhance applications that integrate with both legacy and modern healthcare systems.

• Aid in modernization efforts related to legacy VistA/MUMPS-based environments and enterprise integration platforms.

• Construct scalable APIs, microservices, and application components utilizing contemporary development frameworks and tools.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure engineers to deliver secure and dependable solutions.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps processes, and initiatives for automated testing.

• Diagnose and resolve application defects, performance challenges, and integration issues.

• Create technical documentation, including user stories, technical specifications, code documentation, and release notes.

• Ensure that solutions comply with federal cybersecurity, accessibility, and compliance standards.

• Support ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at modernization, automation, and operational efficiency.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of software development experience in Agile environments.

• Proficiency in developing enterprise applications using modern programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar technologies.

• Experience with web services, APIs, and application integration technologies.

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks, including Scrum or Kanban.

• Experience with version control systems, notably Git.

• Experience in supporting CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevSecOps practices.

• Understanding of secure coding standards and federal cybersecurity regulations.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
