This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• In the role of Remote Administrator on Call, you will play a vital part in LifeLink’s mission to save lives.
• You will assist recovery services personnel by managing activities related to donor evaluation and recovery.
• Collaborating with a team of Administrators on Call (AOCs), you will provide consistent oversight by employing evidence-based critical thinking, adhering to organizational policies and procedures, as well as meeting regulatory standards and requirements.
• This position emphasizes enhancing quality and improving processes throughout the donation procedure while safeguarding all relevant documentation and information.
• You will ensure that all pertinent information is accurately and promptly shared across various electronic platforms with both internal and external stakeholders, aiming for successful results in every assigned case.
• You will work closely with the scheduled Medical Director on Call (MDOC) and utilize all necessary consultations/resources to guarantee safe assessment, allocation, and transportation of suitable organs.
• Staying informed about all active donors and referrals, you will provide legal next-of-kin with updates on donation status or approaches for organ and tissue donation, ensuring the use of appropriate resources.
• You will offer immediate direction and support to staff for identifying, evaluating, authorizing, managing clinically, allocating organs, and overseeing surgical recovery to maximize every organ donation opportunity.
• Participation in performance improvement initiatives will be expected, where you will identify trends and assist in formal staff education needs, including taking part in regular case activity reviews.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, management, and/or AOC is required.
• At least three years of experience as a clinical coordinator in a procurement organization or two years in management and/or AOC is necessary.
• Advanced understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology, organ perfusion, strong decision-making skills, and keen attention to detail are essential.
• You must stay updated on all LifeLink and OPTN policies, CMS regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong customer service abilities are required.
• The ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and emotionally challenging environment is crucial due to the nature of work involving death and dying.
• You need to prioritize remote work (using a computer and smartphone) to achieve the goals for all active donors and referrals while addressing the needs of all stakeholders.
