This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• As a Remote Administrator-on-Call (Remote AOC), you will play a vital role in advancing LifeLink’s mission to save lives.
• The Remote Administrator-on-Call (Remote AOC) aids recovery services personnel by supervising activities associated with donor assessment and recovery.
• Responsibilities requiring direct oversight encompass, but are not limited to, identification, evaluation, approach, clinical management, allocation, recovery, and overall coordination of donor-related tasks.
• Collaborates with a team of AOCs to provide consistent supervision, employing evidence-based critical thinking, organizational policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards and requirements.
• This role emphasizes quality and process enhancement throughout the donation journey while ensuring the protection of all relevant documentation and information.
• Ensures timely and accurate dissemination of pertinent information across various electronic platforms to all internal and external stakeholders, aiming for successful outcomes for each assigned case.
• Furthermore, the R-AOC works closely with the scheduled Medical Director on Call (MDOC) and all necessary consultations/resources available (e.g., infectious disease experts, medical examiner/coroner liaison, transplant center professionals, AOC/EOC Communication Guidelines) to guarantee the safe assessment, allocation, and transportation of suitable organs.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, management experience, and/or AOC qualifications.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a clinical coordinator in a procurement organization or two years in management and/or AOC.
• Advanced understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology, organ perfusion, as well as strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.
• Stay updated on all LifeLink and OPTN policies, CMS regulations, and pertinent state and federal laws.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service abilities.
• Capability to function effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment, acknowledging the emotional and physical challenges associated with work involving death and dying.
• Proficiency in prioritizing remote work (via computer and smartphone) to achieve the objectives for all active donors and referrals, focusing on meeting the needs of all stakeholders.
