This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Managing claims for Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI), Private Products, and Named Peril within a designated territory.
• Providing exceptional service to customers, including both policyholders and agents, as the primary focus.
• Establishing and nurturing professional relationships with the Area Claim Supervisor (ACS), policyholders, agents, and fellow adjusters.
• Accurately recording and transmitting loss information to assess potential damages in alignment with established loss adjustment protocols.
• Conducting field inspections, interpreting maps and aerial imagery, and measuring fields and storage bins.
• Demonstrating proficiency in company software while consistently monitoring all company communications on a daily basis.
• Adhering to FCIS, State, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures for MPCI and Private Products.
• Completing initial and ongoing training and certifications mandated by FCIC and State Regulations.
• Clarifying adjusting procedures and findings to both the policyholder and agent.
• Engaging in fact-finding and investigating crop damage, documenting findings, and transmitting data to accurately assess potential indemnities.
• Required - High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in agriculture.
• Required – A valid driver’s license along with a satisfactory driving record.
• Required – CAPP certification and the applicable State license.
• Preferred – A minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing crop insurance claims.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Capability to fulfill documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.
