This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Attend necessary onboarding sessions and course orientation before commencing teaching.

• Prepare supplementary materials for the approval of the USNCC Dean and/or Associate Dean of the Academics Program.

• Instruct assigned undergraduate-level online asynchronous courses in line with USNCC policies, syllabi, and instructional standards.

• Utilize the USNCC Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) for delivering instruction.

• Facilitate interactive online discussions that foster critical thinking and encourage active participation from students.

• Evaluate assignments, exams, discussion posts, and projects by applying established grading rubrics.

• Offer comprehensive written feedback that enhances student learning and promotes academic success.

• Track student progress throughout the course and proactively identify students who may face academic challenges.

• Maintain regular communication with students, responding to inquiries within set response timeframes.

• Hold weekly virtual office hours alongside additional flexible hours as necessary to support student success.

• Generate a weekly progress report.

• Submit all grades and requisite documentation by specified deadlines.

• Prepare end-of-course reports that summarize student performance and suggest improvements for the course.

• Engage in faculty meetings and collaborate with Course Leads, Academic Affairs, and Student Services as needed.

• Stay updated on current developments within the assigned discipline through professional development, scholarship, research, or involvement in professional organizations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Authorization to work permanently in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

• Relevant military experience or comparable experience in government and/or working alongside military personnel.

• Experience teaching at the collegiate level in an online learning environment using Learning Management Systems (Blackboard or a similar LMS).

• Appropriate academic qualifications and a history of scholarship/research relevant to the assigned teaching role.

• Proven expertise in U.S. History, military history, government, strategic studies, and public policy.

• Previous experience teaching introductory courses in U.S. history, military history, strategy, defense policy, and security studies.

• A Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in a relevant field.

• At least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.

• Prior college-level teaching experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Significant and relevant experience in a military or related environment that uniquely qualifies you to teach the specific subject area.
