Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducting research and collecting information to aid project initiatives

• Evaluating and analyzing plan data, financial documents, and various actuarial outputs

• Contributing to the creation of effective solutions

• Designing, updating, and maintaining actuarial software and Excel models

• Supporting the preparation of client reports and presentations

• Engaging in Athena’s strategic meetings and offering insights on community projects

• Upholding a strong commitment to personal and professional integrity while endorsing Athena’s mission and values

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in health actuarial positions

• Progress towards ASA or FSA designation, having passed one exam

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and a keen desire to learn

• Dedication to Athena’s mission and values

• Ability to work autonomously and excel in a remote-first setting

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Experience in health actuarial work, including Government-funded programs (Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, Medicare), Commercial/Employer, and/or other Public/State programs (Nice-to-Haves)

• Familiarity with SQL, SAS, or similar programming languages/tools, including experience in writing queries for data analysis and business insights (Nice-to-Haves)
