Actuarial Analyst

📋 Description

• Conducting research and collecting information to aid project activities

• Analyzing and reviewing plan data, financial statements, and other actuarial deliverables

• Contributing to the formulation of effective solutions

• Developing, updating, and maintaining actuarial software and Excel models

• Assisting in the creation of client reports and presentations

• Engaging in Athena’s strategy meetings and offering insights on community initiatives

• Exhibiting a strong dedication to personal and professional integrity while upholding Athena’s mission and values

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in health actuarial positions

• Progress towards ASA or FSA designation, with at least one exam completed

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen desire to learn

• Commitment to the mission and values of Athena

• Capability to work autonomously and excel in a remote-first setting

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Experience in health actuarial work, including Government-funded (Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, Medicare), Commercial/Employer, and/or other Public/State programs (Preferred)

• Familiarity with SQL, SAS, or similar programming languages/tools, including experience in writing queries for data analysis and business insights (Preferred)
