This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform on-site or virtual site assessments at facilities seeking ACC Accreditation Services to evaluate adherence to accreditation standards.
• Engage in constructive discussions with healthcare organizations to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
• Guide facilities on accreditation criteria and support their successful navigation through the process.
• Examine submitted accreditation documents for thoroughness and alignment with essential component standards.
• Present at industry trade events and inform both the public and professionals about the advantages of accreditation.
• Organize site reviews and gather any additional documents as necessary.
• Draft summary reports for the Accreditation Review Committee and the facilities reviewed, which include findings, decisions, and potential improvements.
• Assist with research initiatives, committee formation, and the creation of site review criteria as assigned.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance the mission and vision of ACC Accreditation Services.
• Participate in mandatory staff training sessions for reviews.
• Ensure the confidentiality of healthcare organization information.
• Manage organizational funds responsibly as a nonprofit serving the public and healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• A minimum of five years of experience in healthcare, particularly in acute care, pre-hospital emergency services, nursing, research, Cardiac Cath Lab, Transcatheter Valve, Electrophysiology services, or any cardiovascular-related medical field.
• Current licensure in the specified area of practice.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication capabilities.
• Professional and ethical representation of ACC Accreditation Services.
• Fundamental knowledge of relevant services and contemporary best-practice standards; expected to gain expertise post-employment.
• Basic understanding of performance improvement initiatives and metrics.
• Intermediate computer proficiency, including the use of spreadsheets, word processing applications, and email.
• Capability to critically evaluate data and communicate findings to healthcare facilities.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a work environment conducive to online meetings.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and availability to work evenings or weekends as required for site reviews or trade shows.
• Ability to fly and lift/carry luggage weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Capacity to work in environments where infectious diseases may be present.
• Background in process improvement is preferred.
• CPHQ certification is preferred.
