Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address incoming patient inquiries related to billing within a multichannel Contact Center environment.

• Conduct precise and prompt follow-ups on insurance claims and resolve accounts receivable for designated clinics.

• Handle complex payers, aged claims, and specialized accounts receivable projects.

• Adhere to government regulations, payer agreements, insurance protocols, and HIPAA standards.

• Appeal claims and settle outstanding accounts.

• Identify and report on inefficiencies and opportunities aimed at improving revenue flow, reducing denials, and minimizing write-offs.

• Ensure the confidentiality of patient information is maintained.

• Adjust to changes in workflows, work volume, and schedules as needed.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a healthcare setting is required, preferably in billing, front office administration, or call center roles.

• Capability to read and comprehend insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

• Strong skills in conflict resolution.

• Proficiency in multitasking while ensuring the highest quality in every patient interaction.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential.

• Ability to sit for 3–4 hours continuously.

• Fine motor skills required for typing.

• Ability to communicate clearly with team members.

• Ability to listen and comprehend others when they speak.

• Capability to view a computer screen and small objects positioned a few feet away.
