Accounts Receivable Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee customer relationships with SanMar by tracking customer payments and identifying opportunities for business growth and risk management.

• Interact with customers primarily via phone and secondarily through email to ensure timely payment and engage in collaborative negotiations.

• Communicate in a professional and empathetic manner, providing service-oriented support during both inbound and outbound calls with customers.

• Effectively manage and de-escalate potentially stressful or tense situations by exhibiting patience and understanding.

• Approve orders promptly for assigned accounts and provide coverage for teammates as necessary.

• Work with the various credit terms available to SanMar’s customers.

• Manage customers within the established credit limit guidelines; increase credit lines by gathering necessary information for limit reviews.

• Accurately maintain customer information across various systems and document all communications and interactions meticulously.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in Collections and/or Customer Service.

• Prior experience supporting customers over the phone is preferred.

• Experience in collection and account management is desired.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to demonstrate effective de-escalation skills.

• Strong negotiation abilities, with a focus on collaborating with customers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

• High proficiency with PC and software applications, along with the capacity to quickly learn new programs.

• Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

• Capable of maintaining confidential information.

• Consistently demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

• Adaptable to change and able to view it as a positive opportunity.

• Team-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively across all areas of SanMar’s team and provide assistance to co-workers when necessary.
