Accounts Payable Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and process employee reimbursement claims in line with company policies and designated approval workflows.

• Confirm vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate coding within NetSuite.

• Prepare and facilitate invoice payment cycles and employee reimbursements within set authorization limits.

• Assist in addressing invoice or payment discrepancies with internal teams and vendors.

• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving reconciling items.

• Support month-end closing activities associated with accounts payable and cash balances.

• Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails for all accounts payable and banking transactions.

• Ensure all transactions adhere to internal controls, segregation of duties, and approval matrices.

• Aid in internal and external audits by supplying necessary schedules and supporting documents.

• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of accounts payable and expense workflows in NetSuite and related tools.

• Comply with regulatory, compliance, and operational standards pertinent to fintech and crypto firms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or shared services.

• Basic understanding of NetSuite or other ERP systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with expense management tools and invoice processing is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Capability to adhere to processes and controls within a regulated environment.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.

• Interest in fintech, crypto, or technology-oriented enterprises.

• Comfort in handling high transaction volumes and tight deadlines.

• Proactive, organized, and enthusiastic about developing technical accounting and system skills.
