Accounts Payable – Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Managing the financial oversight of client projects

• Assisting in the provision of precise financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management

• Working collaboratively with project managers and essential business stakeholders

• Offering leadership, direction, and mentorship to junior members of the finance team

• Promoting continuous enhancements in processes and upholding the highest levels of financial integrity and client service

• Overseeing the overall monthly project accounting activities

• Analyzing and reconciling new contracts

• Administering cost allocations in relation to the overall project budget

• Handling client invoicing in accordance with contracts

• Examining and reconciling monthly general ledger account reconciliations for accuracy and thoroughness

• Supporting ad hoc projects as needed, including the preparation of the annual budget

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a primary focus in accounting, finance, or business

• A minimum of 4 years of pertinent accounting/finance experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in an agency or professional services environment is advantageous

• Familiarity with month-end closing processes

• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles

• Experience in project accounting

• Background in client services or client-facing roles
