Accounting Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and interprets financial information, documentation, and both manual and automated accounting systems.

• Operates under the guidance of an auditor or financial analyst.

• Responsibilities may involve travel on occasion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and sustain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance before commencing work (candidates do not need to have clearance at the time of application).

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Capable of functioning effectively in a fully remote setting.

• Possession of a two-year degree in accounting or a four-year degree in a related discipline (such as finance, business, banking, or economics) with 30 credit hours in accounting.

• With the approval of the COR, relevant experience in financial and accounting roles performing technical duties in accounting, banking, or finance for corporations or non-profit organizations may be considered as a substitute for educational and credit requirements.

• Experience within banking institutions.

• Familiarity with manual and automated accounting systems utilized by banks, financial institutions, and other organizations.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
