This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Analyze, assess, and resolve issues related to the billing process and revenue collection.
• Oversee the preparation of invoices and statements, addressing any discrepancies found in accounting records.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for banks, deferred revenue, and deferred expenses.
• Support the monthly closing process, including payroll processing for both bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, in addition to state and federal regulations.
• Supervise billing operations and assist in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff members.
• Process various documents related to expenses.
• Aid in maintaining accounting data and provide necessary support to the accounting department.
• Manage various types of accounting data, including accounts payable and accounts receivable information.
• Communicate effectively and intelligently across all organizational levels, demonstrating strong accounting and customer service skills.
• Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements through document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Engage in the development of policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with set policies and procedures while proposing changes and improvements as necessary.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and support the execution of special projects as required.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance existing accounting processes and reinforce internal controls.
• Organize tasks, prioritize effectively, and adhere to critical deadlines.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Supervisor or Team Lead role.
• Experience within the Software as a Service industry is essential.
• A diverse background with financial accounting systems and proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
• Strong knowledge and application skills in GAAP and other relevant financial reporting and accounting regulations.
• Familiarity with accounting information systems is required.
• Understanding of supervisory and training principles.
• Capability to review and analyze complex accounting and financial data.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciling journals, ledgers, and legal documents.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
