This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Manage essential general accounting responsibilities, such as accounts receivable, sales invoicing, revenue recognition, royalties, and cost of sales.
• Direct the month-end close process for transactions, including the review and approval of journal entries.
• Examine balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee their accuracy and completeness.
• Take charge of revenue accounting and sales invoicing, ensuring that revenues and costs are accurately recorded in compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze month-end financial outcomes, identify discrepancies, and suggest or enact necessary corrections.
• Prepare and assess variance analyses for profit and loss accounts, offering valuable insights into financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to accounting processes and procedures, maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with quarterly reviews, year-end financial audits, and annual internal control audits by preparing relevant documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate closely with the Client Success, Sales, and Development teams to support business operations and offer financial guidance.
• Assess current accounting processes, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and spearhead initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Work with shared services teams and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance reporting and optimize financial operations.
• Execute special projects and undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Qualified accountant with over 5 years of general accounting experience in an international or multinational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of accrual accounting, U.S. GAAP, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Significant experience overseeing the month-end close process, including the review and approval of journal entries.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated, solution-focused, and adept at taking ownership of projects and deliverables.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and follow-through.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to swiftly establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work effectively across diverse teams and corporate cultures.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365).
• Background in a global or shared services environment.
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Client Success, or other commercial teams to support revenue operations and financial reporting.
