Accountant, US Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete general ledger and monthly closing procedures.

• Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and uphold the trial balance.

• Oversee balance sheet accounts, which include accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and lease accounting.

• Develop and assess monthly P&L variance reports, delivering clear insights into financial performance.

• Manage expense allocations across various departments, locations, and cost centers.

• Assist in cash flow forecasting and analysis comparing budget against actual results.

• Provide support for ad-hoc financial modeling and reporting to aid leadership decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure precise and timely financial reporting.

• Strive for ongoing enhancements in accounting processes and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of progressive experience in accounting.

• In-depth understanding of full-cycle accounting processes.

• Demonstrated experience with:

• - Monthly closing and general ledger oversight.

• - P&L variance analysis.

• - Cash flow forecasting and fundamental FP&A support.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling).

• Tech-savvy with a capability to learn and adapt to new accounting systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to convey financial data effectively.
