This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee comprehensive accounting records using Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
• Document sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
• Conduct weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Manage ledgers for both vendors and customers efficiently.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable diligently.
• Complete monthly financial closures by the 5th of each month.
• Prepare basic monthly Profit and Loss statements for internal review.
• Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
• Conduct Input Tax Credit reconciliation (2A / 2B).
• Maintain working sheets for Goods and Services Tax (GST).
• Track GST liabilities and ensure timely payments are made.
• Deduct Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) under relevant sections (194C, 194J, 192, etc.).
• Ensure TDS deposits are made before their due dates.
• File quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q) accurately.
• Download and issue Form 16 and Form 16A.
• Maintain a register for TDS transactions.
• Process monthly payroll deductions efficiently.
• File Provident Fund returns via the EPFO portal.
• File Employee State Insurance returns through the ESIC portal.
• Generate challans and ensure payments are made on time.
• Keep employee compliance records up to date.
• Track vendor payments systematically.
• Verify approvals for invoices meticulously.
• Create and dispatch invoices to clients promptly.
• Prepare summaries of payments made.
• Execute NEFT and RTGS payments via the bank portal as per approvals.
• Download and maintain UTR confirmations for records.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in Indian accounting and statutory compliance.
• Strong understanding of GST portal, TRACES, EPFO, and ESIC.
• Familiarity with Indian banking portals is essential.
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and reconciliations.
