This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

• Clean and reconcile financial records for small contracting clients with disorganized or complex accounts.

• Identify discrepancies, missing entries, and categorization problems, resolving them in a systematic manner.

• Oversee job costing and track profitability at the project level.

• Maintain schedules for work-in-progress and report on percentage-of-completion.

• Manage retainage tracking and prepare AIA billing documentation.

• Ensure that financial statements accurately reflect the operational realities of each construction project.

• Set up and optimize QuickBooks Online for each client’s needs.

• Develop reporting frameworks, chart of accounts, and workflows that provide clients with clear insights into their finances.

• Create scalable systems that clients can easily manage on their own.

• Utilize knowledge of U.S. tax law to assist clients in preparing for tax obligations.

• Active CPA license or an equivalent accounting credential.

• Practical experience in construction accounting, including job costing, WIP, retainage, and AIA billing.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online, with QBO certification preferred.

• Solid understanding of U.S. tax law and its relevance to small business clients.

• Background in organizing messy financial records and establishing financial systems from the ground up.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for client interactions.

• Self-motivated and well-organized, capable of managing multiple client accounts concurrently.
