Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Ensure that financial records for our Australian clients are accurate and current.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, guaranteeing prompt payments and collections.

• Prepare and submit BAS (Business Activity Statements) along with other tax-related documents in accordance with Australian taxation regulations.

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and various financial accounts.

• Produce financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

• Collaborate with Australian tax advisors and auditors to ensure adherence to local regulations.

• Offer financial insights and recommendations derived from financial data analysis.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Australian clients.

• Employ Australian accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) to handle and report financial transactions.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally with Australian firms or clients.

• A strong grasp of Australian accounting standards and tax laws.

• Proficiency in Australian accounting software such as MYOB or Xero.

• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and efficiently handle multiple tasks.

• Experience in a remote team setting is an advantage.
