Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Prepares and posts intricate journal entries for company accounts, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information.

• Reconciles balance sheet and income statement accounts with the general ledger, investigating more complex discrepancies and determining the appropriate actions to take.

• Compiles detailed bank reconciliations, journal entries, and expense analyses.

• Develops spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries to maintain organized and standardized records.

• Engages in complex special projects, such as updates to accounting software, to lend expertise.

• Coordinates, prepares, consolidates, submits, and distributes monthly financial statements to furnish management with insights on financial accounts.

• Educates internal clients on intricate accounting principles when required.

• Conducts comprehensive studies and presents recommendations for enhancing the organization's accounting operations to management.

• Installs, modifies, documents, and oversees the implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.

• May provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Chartered Accountant or an equivalent professional qualification.

• 3-5+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting, audit, or finance positions.

• Proficient in generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.

• Strong understanding of accounting standards, balance sheet preparation, and financial reporting.

• Practical experience in monthly closing processes, balance sheet reviews, variance analysis, and management reporting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of reconciliations, internal controls, and audit requirements.

• Practical exposure to SAP/S4 Hana is preferable.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership of deliverables.

• Self-motivated, accountable, and process-oriented mindset.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
