Accountant, Accounts Payable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive P2P Management: Assume full responsibility for the entire Purchase-to-Pay process, which encompasses invoice verification, account assignment, and processing payments.

• Closing Precision: Play an active role in monthly and annual financial closings; notably, you will handle accruals and ensure the reconciliation of the AP sub-ledger with the general ledger.

• System Integration & Implementations: Spearhead the integration and assist in the rollout of new tools (such as Cobase and Payhawk features including Budgets & POs).

• Master Data Management & Compliance: Ensure accurate records are maintained in NetSuite and uphold adherence to internal policies and tax regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong Accounting Acumen: You comprehend how your entries affect the P&L and Balance Sheet and are adept at managing deferrals and accruals.

• IT Proficiency: You are at ease with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and contemporary payment solutions (e.g., Payhawk); you relish in enhancing software-driven processes.

• Proactive Problem Solver: You exhibit a highly independent work ethic and exceptional self-organization skills. You are adept at identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.

• Language Proficiency: Fluent English is required for international communication; good proficiency in German is also essential.

• Relevant Experience: Ideally, you have experience working in a German business environment and are well-versed in local accounting practices.
