This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Optimize the potential of AbbVie’s Anti-Infective product portfolio within the designated region.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), academic institutions, outpatient services, long-term care facilities, governmental accounts, and specialty private practices.
• Enhance patient accessibility, generate new business opportunities, expand existing operations, optimize resource utilization, and meet sales targets for the region.
• Progress hospital and specialty clients through the sales continuum and secure prescriber commitments.
• Conduct on-label presentations and sales discussions that emphasize product advantages and associated risks.
• Articulate the portfolio's value proposition to C-suite executives, physicians, hospital personnel, and support teams.
• Address product and patient flow issues across Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Distribution, and Buy and Bill channels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to align on patient-centered solutions.
• Cultivate relationships that provide market insights and promote compliant initiatives and programs.
• Develop, implement, and oversee strategic business plans for the geography.
• Identify account-specific departmental needs, channel focus, healthcare professional engagement, and contact frequency.
• Gather and analyze account data, maintain account profiles and relationship maps, and engage key decision-makers.
• Attend local boards, societies, conventions, and healthcare professional meetings; represent AbbVie and its assigned products.
• Relay critical information and insights to internal partners and stakeholders.
• Complete mandated training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal protocols.
• Work in collaboration with AbbVie field and internal teams, including MSLs, the National Director of Accounts, and Key Account Directors.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related discipline is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience is required if a bachelor’s degree is not held.
• Preference for candidates with three or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industries.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in account-based selling within hospitals, wound care centers, or infusion centers.
• Proven ability to build hospital advocacy for acute products.
• Familiarity with navigating matrix environments and complex clients such as IDNs, academic institutions, hospitals, and outpatient services.
• Knowledge of formulary approval processes and experience driving formulary approvals.
• Preference for candidates with experience in Buy and Bill and specialty pharmacy products.
• Documented history of strong sales performance and advanced sales skills.
• Capability to effectively communicate complex, scientific, procedural, technical, and clinical information to diverse audiences.
• Strong skills in analysis, planning, organization, presentation, facilitation, problem resolution, and prioritization.
• Ability to analyze varied data sets using multiple tools and develop account/program strategies.
• Willingness to cover the assigned region and travel as required, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Fulfillment of applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and state or city-specific licenses.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
