This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Optimize the potential of AbbVie’s Anti-Infective product portfolio within the designated region.

• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), academic institutions, outpatient facilities, long-term care establishments, government accounts, and specialty private practices.

• Enhance patient access, generate new business opportunities, grow existing business, optimize resources, and boost sales to meet regional objectives.

• Facilitate the progress of hospital and specialty customers through the sales continuum and secure prescriber commitments.

• Conduct on-label presentations and sales calls that underscore product advantages and associated risks.

• Articulate the unique value proposition of the portfolio across C-Suite executives, healthcare providers, hospital personnel, and support staff.

• Address product and patient-flow challenges through specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and Buy and Bill channels.

• Align stakeholders across various departments around solutions focused on patient care.

• Cultivate relationships that yield market insights and bolster compliant programs and initiatives.

• Operate within a complex, matrixed, account-based selling environment.

• Collaborate with AbbVie field and internal teams to formulate and refine approaches and tactics.

• Develop, implement, and track strategic business plans for the assigned geography.

• Identify account-level departments, channels, healthcare provider focus, and frequency of contact.

• Gather and analyze account data; maintain detailed account profiles and relationship mappings.

• Target key stakeholders and decision-makers to enhance physician engagement and expand the customer base.

• Engage in local boards, societies, conventions, and healthcare provider meetings; represent AbbVie and its assigned products.

• Relay essential information and insights to internal stakeholders.

• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.

• Fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.

• Collaborate with healthcare institutions and cross-functional partners, including the National Director of Accounts, Key Account Directors, and Medical Science Liaisons.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience is also acceptable.

• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience is required, including at least three years preferred in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or science industries.

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Experience in account-based selling within hospitals, wound care centers, or infusion centers.

• Proven ability to build hospital advocacy for acute care products.

• Experience in navigating matrix environments and dealing with complex customers such as IDNs, academic institutions, hospitals, and outpatient facilities.

• Familiarity with formulary approval processes and driving those approvals.

• Preferred experience with Buy and Bill and specialty pharmacy products.

• Documented success in sales performance within challenging markets or product portfolios.

• Advanced sales skills with the ability to convey novel or complex products and processes effectively.

• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, planning, organization, presentation, and facilitation abilities.

• Capability to analyze various data sets using multiple tools and define account/program strategies.

• Quick learner of procedural, technical, and clinical information.

• Proficiency in understanding and communicating complex scientific information to diverse audiences.

• Excellent problem-resolution skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts effectively.

• Must be able to fully cover the assigned geographical area.

• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for them.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving standards.

• Willingness to travel adequately within the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.

• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
