This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through following up on company leads, leveraging industry contacts, utilizing tender sites, and maintaining market awareness.
• Engage with high-value customers by meeting them in person, understanding their operations, and suggesting solutions that safeguard individuals and essential equipment.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with organizations that rely on top-quality Fire Fighting Equipment, PPE, and Safety equipment in accordance with their standards and environments.
• Take ownership of and expand your territory by fostering connections with municipalities, industrial safety professionals, and equipment manufacturers, while enhancing both new and existing business.
• Manage and nurture current customer relationships, identifying opportunities to broaden the scope of instrumentation solutions and services offered.
• Collaborate closely with inside sales and technical teams to provide precise and timely quotes, along with technical solutions.
• Conduct visits to customer sites to assess operational requirements and propose suitable Safety solutions.
• Assist with service initiatives, including maintenance, calibration, and inspection schedules.
• Serve as the representative of our Life Safety division to municipalities, Fire Departments, and Industrial Safety clients.
• Maintain and oversee opportunities, account activities, and pipeline visibility using CRM tools.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to facilitate territory growth and strategic sales planning.
• Engage in product training, supplier updates, and certification opportunities.
• Represent K&D Pratt at mutual aid meetings, industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements.
• Advocate for safe work practices and exhibit leadership in safety across all aspects of the role.
• Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in Fire Fighting, Safety, or related technical sales.
• Proven track record in developing new business while enhancing existing customer relationships.
• Practical technical experience in Fire Fighting, Industrial Safety, or similar industries.
• Familiarity or experience with SCBA, Bunker Gear, PPE, gas detection, nozzle/hose dynamics, and fall arrest equipment.
• Strong consultative selling skills and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to comprehend customer operations and suggest feasible solutions.
• Capability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and maintain precise activity records within CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel within your designated territory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset, though not mandatory.
