This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.
• Take ownership of and achieve annual revenue, margin, and pipeline goals.
• Develop and implement long-term account strategies for key clients.
• Create and sustain a strong, qualified sales pipeline with 3-5x coverage.
• Manage intricate capital equipment sales processes lasting 6 to 24 months.
• Interact with senior stakeholders across Manufacturing, Process Development, Procurement, and Engineering.
• Establish AKBA as a reliable partner in process scaling and manufacturing optimization.
• Convert customer process requirements into cohesive equipment solutions.
• Work alongside engineering and product teams to refine proposals and technical strategies.
• Promote differentiation through value-driven and solution-focused selling.
• Oversee pricing strategies and contract negotiations in line with margin objectives.
• Ensure accurate forecasting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Maintain systematic use of CRM (Salesforce) for pipeline transparency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Marketing, and Inside Sales for effective project execution.
• Serve as the commercial lead throughout the project lifecycle (sale > delivery > after-sales).
• Provide structured analyses on market trends, competitors, and customer requirements.
• Assist in the development of product roadmaps and initiatives for new market expansion.
• Represent AKBA at industry conferences and technical discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
• Over 7 years of successful experience in capital equipment or technical sales within the biopharma sector.
• Previous experience in managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in bioprocessing (filtration, purification, or fluid management).
• Excellent consultative selling and negotiation capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders among customers.
• Strong business acumen regarding pricing, margin, and forecasting.
• Highly organized with a strong commitment to execution discipline.
