This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Propel business expansion within the designated region by engaging with new retailers and cultivating lasting business relationships to meet revenue and profit objectives for the territory.
• Take ownership of the complete sales process, from initial cold calls and retailer engagement to product sales and retailer management.
• Maintain an extensive understanding of product offerings and foster strong relationships to act as a consultant for potential and existing retailers, addressing market challenges and highlighting the benefits of Verdesian products.
• Create strategic business plans aimed at targeting retailers within the assigned territory while forecasting future sales and budgets.
• Utilize and implement lead generation campaigns and research trials as deemed appropriate.
• Organize weekly and monthly sales initiatives to fulfill business plans and achieve territorial objectives.
• Proactively assess the needs of retailers and the territory by regularly collaborating with marketing, customer service, and other departments to share market insights and prepare for potential territory growth.
• Comprehend and apply relevant EPA and state regulations effectively.
• Cultivate business relationships that enhance public relations.
• A minimum of 5 years of full-time exempt sales experience within the Agriculture industry is required.
• Experience in selling inoculants, fertilizer enhancers, and/or micronutrients is advantageous.
• A BA or BS degree in an Agriculture-related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated capability in developing strong working relationships.
• Ability to effectively communicate key product advantages and selling points tailored to retailer requirements.
• Proven skills in persuasion and negotiation.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
