This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Drive business expansion within the designated region by engaging with and forming partnerships with new retailers, establishing a consistent portfolio of clients to meet territory revenue and profit objectives.
• Manage the complete sales process from initial cold calls and retailer engagement to product sales and retailer management.
• Maintain extensive product knowledge and cultivate robust relationships to act as a consultant for potential and current retailers, addressing market challenges and highlighting the value of Verdesian products.
• Create strategic business plans to target retailers within the assigned territory while forecasting future sales and budgets.
• Utilize and implement lead generation campaigns and research trials as necessary.
• Organize weekly/monthly sales activities to fulfill business plans and meet territory targets.
• Proactively identify retailer and territory needs by regularly collaborating with marketing, customer service, and other departments to share market insights and prepare for future growth in the territory.
• Acquire and apply a working knowledge of EPA and Provincial regulations.
• Foster business relationships that contribute positively to public relations.
• Perform additional Account Manager responsibilities as required.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong working relationships.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capability to clearly articulate key product advantages and selling points tailored to retailer needs.
• Proven skills in persuasion and negotiation.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Established track record in a business-to-business sales setting.
• Ability to collaborate and build rapport with Chemical Fertilizer Dealership Staff, Certified Crop Advisors, and Independent Crop Consultants.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
• Maintain a clean driving record with the capacity to travel long distances.
• Experience in lead generation and qualification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of biological technologies related to agriculture is advantageous.
