This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Promote software, solutions, and services to existing and potential clients by identifying sales opportunities within assigned accounts to understand business requirements, qualify prospects, and ascertain necessary resources for success.
• Execute territory and account management strategies, recognizing high-potential accounts, advancing opportunities through the sales process, and predicting timelines for closing deals.
• Work in partnership with pre-sales resources, virtual sales teams, account managers, and executives to guarantee prompt responses to qualified, high-value leads and strategic account growth.
• Create quotations, proposals, and contracts, collaborating across departments to finalize agreements and establish delivery timelines.
• Maintain follow-up with customers to assess satisfaction, identify additional revenue opportunities, and foster ongoing relationships.
• Utilize the company's account planning tools and sales methodologies (such as BASE or Strategic Selling) for pipeline management, forecasting, and pinpointing accounts with high closing potential.
• Leverage knowledge of the company's marketing objectives, industry trends, and SAS applications to evaluate account needs and suggest suitable solutions.
• Formulate and implement action plans to secure business with high-potential accounts and further develop relationships within the territory.

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, MIS, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical support of computer software solutions (including associated training products and services), computer hardware, or telecommunications software/hardware.
• Relevant industry experience may be considered alongside the above qualifications.
• Familiarity with basic sales techniques; understanding of hardware and/or software procurement processes and buying influences specific to the federal government and national security sectors.
• Capability to analyze and assess territory dynamics and create a sales strategy; proficiency in communicating technical and business concepts and relating them to SAS applications and user requirements; ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Based in the DC metro area or willing to travel regularly to customer locations.
• An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be taken into account in lieu of the above qualifications.
