This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Work in collaboration with security researchers to integrate effective research outcomes into commercial products.
• Convert vulnerability documentation and proof-of-concept code into fully developed capabilities.
• Clearly convey status updates and technical challenges in a manner suited to your audience.
• Engage in planning and prioritization sessions with members of the organization's commercial division.
• Offer engineering assistance for issues reported by customers.
• Mentor less experienced engineers in technical areas pertinent to the platform, as well as the fields of cyber security and software engineering.
• Keep track of industry trends and publicly available techniques for integration into our products.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related discipline) with 4 years of experience, or a Master's Degree. Alternatively, 8 years of experience in cyber security and software engineering may substitute for a degree.
• Familiarity with OS and application vulnerability categories.
• Proven expertise in analyzing malware samples, creating vulnerability proofs of concept, and comprehending mitigations offered by software patches.
• Proficient in C programming, memory management principles, assembly languages, and private (undocumented) APIs.
• Established proficiency in all aspects of a mobile platform (Android or iOS), including OS internals, mobile ecosystem languages (Objective-C, Swift, Java, and/or Kotlin), and system security measures.
• Proven experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Hopper, as well as dynamic tools like Frida or ADB.
• Proficient in using common software development tools, including git, gitlab CI, and cmake.
• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to tackle ambiguous or poorly defined problems and resolve them through consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach to achieving goals, with a strong bias towards action.
• Extensive experience in CNO development/offensive cyber security.
• Experience in an air-gapped development environment.
