Accounts Receivable Specialist

📋 Description

• Responsible for the prompt collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables

• Verifying patient eligibility and obtaining authorization for services

• Performing research to appropriately status unpaid or denied claims

• Engaging with payers to ensure payment of claims

• Complying with HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of high school diploma or GED

• Minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up

• Proficient in identifying billing discrepancies and resubmitting claims

• Understanding of accounts receivable practices and procedures

• Capability to navigate payer websites for appeals
