This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver high-quality administrative assistance to facilitate the effective execution of academic activities within the School of Foundation Degrees.
• Collaborate closely with academic leaders and key stakeholders.
• Work together with the broader Faculty to maintain consistency and efficiency in processes.
• Organize a variety of activities and handle competing priorities.
• Aid in the implementation of academic projects and initiatives.
• Utilize digital tools to ensure the seamless day-to-day operations of the School.
• Foster a positive and collaborative working atmosphere.
• Contribute to the successful achievement of the Faculty’s objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support within a professional setting, including assistance to senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and working efficiently under pressure.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to engage confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a systematic approach to tasks, with the ability to operate independently.
• Proactive problem-solving capabilities, with the confidence to take initiative and enhance processes when necessary.
• Experience in coordinating meetings and events, including scheduling, minute-taking, and managing documentation.
• Ability to track progress, follow up on actions, and manage data effectively.
• Strong understanding of financial administration processes, including the creation of purchase orders and verifying data accuracy.
• Familiarity with handling sensitive information and a solid understanding of data protection regulations, such as GDPR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, encompassing Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience in a similar role within higher education or other educational institutions is desirable.
• Awareness of current key issues within the higher education sector is desirable.
• Experience in SharePoint management and knowledge of VLE platforms is desirable.
