3rd Engineer – Ro-Ro Cargo Vessel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the efficient operation and upkeep of the engine room and related machinery.

• Support the Chief Engineer in the daily management of engine room activities.

• Supervise the maintenance and repair operations for the main engine, auxiliary systems, and machinery.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.

• Track fuel, lubricating oil, and machinery performance metrics.

• Lead engine room watchkeeping duties and supervise the engine crew.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, pollution prevention measures, and regulatory compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as per STCW Regulation III/2, with verification.

• Must have the necessary STCW certifications relevant to the role.

• Required experience in repairs and dry docking operations.

• Familiarity with working in a multicultural environment is essential.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

• Proficient in English communication.

• Commitment to safety culture and mindset.

• Minimum of 12 months of experience in the rank with 4-stroke engine types.

• Preference for candidates with experience in Electronic engines (RT Flex - ME).
