This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Process image datasets, including MRI/CT brain perfusion studies, MSK 2D/3D processing and analysis, CT calcium scoring, MR/CT cardiac studies, and PET/CT fusion.

• Prioritize and organize workload to ensure advanced visualization studies are processed within designated timeframes.

• Monitor PACS Tracker, PACS, and RIS scanning schedules to identify studies that need advanced 3D-lab post-processing.

• Collaborate with imaging physicians and technologists to determine the appropriate image processing for patient studies.

• Differentiate normal anatomy from abnormal anatomy.

• Troubleshoot issues related to 3D-lab hardware and software, escalating to supervisors, IT, and vendors when necessary.

• Develop and assess procedures and protocols for advanced visualization.

• Assist in training departmental staff on new procedures, protocols, and techniques.

• Maintain and update the Imaging 3D lab's written procedures manual.

• Support the integration of advanced post-processing with the PACS/RIS team and vendors, including software and hardware upgrades.

• Assist with daily PACS/RIS operations, including image reconciliation.

• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Computed Tomography (CT) registration and certification or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification.

• CT registration and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or MRI registration and certification from ARRT, CAMRT, or ARMRIT.

• Advanced training beyond high school in CT or MR.

• A minimum of 3 years of patient imaging experience in CT and/or MRI.

• At least 2 years of advanced experience in post-processing CT and/or MRI imaging using multiple applications.

• Advanced understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and advanced MRI/MRA or CT/CTA clinical protocols.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to maintain workstations and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

• Advanced knowledge of various post-processing applications.

• Understanding of medical imaging physics principles.
