2nd Engineer, Oil Tanker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the effective operation and upkeep of the engine room and other machinery equipment.

• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily engine room functions.

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the main engine, auxiliaries, and machinery.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

• Lead engine room watchkeeping duties and supervise the engine crew.

• Familiarity with a diverse working environment is essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum experience required: 8 months in Rank on a similar type of vessel.

• Experience with the engine model: M/E: Sulzer 7RT-flex84T-D is mandatory.

• Proficiency in oil product cargo operations.

• Experience in the trading areas of the USA and Australia is preferred.

• Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (STCW Reg III/2) with verification.

• Holder of valid STCW certifications necessary for the role.

• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

• Proficient in English communication.

• Demonstrates a safety-oriented culture and mindset.
