10-11th Grade Math Associate Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Associate Instructors will become part of SEO’s dedicated community of educators, tasked with delivering a challenging college preparatory curriculum for enthusiastic high school students.

• By employing our unique curriculum and adopting a student-focused teaching and learning methodology, Associate Instructors are vital in guiding our Scholars towards competitive college admissions and future success.

• These instructors foster deep understanding and skill development by acting as coaches and facilitators of the learning process.

• Associate Instructors collaborate with Instructors to deliver classroom instruction, conduct mini-lessons, organize small group and individual tutoring, and offer additional support to Scholars.

• Grading responsibilities are not assigned to Associate Instructors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related content area is required.

• Candidates should possess teaching certification, experience in K-12 classroom settings, and/or experience teaching at the college or university level.

• A reliable personal laptop is necessary, as seasonal instructors must provide their own device that meets the essential technology requirements for instructional and administrative tasks.

• Experience with high school-aged students is essential.

• Proficiency in navigating technological learning systems is required.

• Candidates should have expertise and a thorough understanding of advanced high school-level Math subjects.

• A willingness to participate in discussions analyzing the historical and ongoing causes of societal issues and challenges is expected.
