YouTube Video Editor – Long-Form Documentary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Edit long-form, documentary-style videos designed for YouTube, emphasizing storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement.

• Enhance the flow of cuts, voiceover timing, and pauses to craft a captivating narrative.

• Collaborate with pre-rendered 3D sequences, integrating them seamlessly into the edit according to provided guidelines.

• Locate high-quality, relevant stock footage as necessary, creatively integrating it to bolster the narrative.

• Develop immersive transitions and captivating visual moments that enrich the viewer's experience.

• Implement color correction to maintain consistency between stock footage and 3D elements.

• Work closely with Directors to ensure alignment on narrative structure, tone, and creative vision.

• Incorporate motion design elements (either provided or self-created depending on expertise).

• Manage basic sound design, encompassing audio cleanup, mixing, and balancing.

• Maintain consistency in style, tone, and branding across all video content.

• Deliver high-quality edits within strict deadlines to uphold a regular publishing schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in editing YouTube content, particularly in documentary-style or narrative-driven formats.

• Strong grasp of pacing, storytelling, and techniques for audience retention.

• Capability to source and curate high-quality stock footage that enhances the narrative.

• Keen eye for visual coherence, particularly when blending various media types (stock and 3D).

• Familiarity with color correction and creating a unified visual aesthetic.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality and clarity in storytelling.

• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with creative teams.

• A solid portfolio that showcases relevant YouTube or long-form projects.

• Comfortable creating or adapting motion graphics when necessary (bonus, not required).

• Bonus: Experience in sound design and audio post-production.
