Yoga Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with patients through live virtual platforms, leading individual or group yoga therapy sessions for Veterans enrolled in the Integrative Headache Clinic (IHC) within Neurology.

• Conduct sessions lasting up to 50 minutes, incorporating education on the advantages of yoga for headache relief and tailored instruction to meet the specific needs and abilities of each Veteran.

• Use provided VA equipment to document electronic medical records, ensuring that encounters are recorded on the same day as the visit and clinical notes are finalized within two days post-visit.

• Be available to assist with direct patient care support activities, which include virtual consultations with the Whole Health/IHC team, service planning meetings, and mandatory VA training.

• Confirm the locations of Veterans and the presence of any other individuals at the beginning of each virtual session, facilitate the use of yogic tools (breathwork, meditation, movement), and uphold stringent patient confidentiality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a recognized, accredited yoga therapy training program and possess a current certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

• Must successfully pass a background check before onboarding.

• Highly skilled in video conferencing technology.

• Must successfully clear a VA background investigation (Low Risk/Non-sensitive) and complete credentialing through VetPro prior to providing care.

• Ability to complete mandatory MEDVAMC training courses.

• Must meet the physical demands necessary to perform yoga instruction safely without any physical limitations.
