This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Assist callers reaching out to the LGBTQIA Call Center utilizing the suicide hotline.
• Provide crisis intervention services over the phone.
• Suggest suitable referrals for available resources.
• Respond to all incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner.
• Evaluate the clinical situations and needs of callers.
• Deliver safe and effective clinical interventions.
• Ensure thorough, clear, and precise clinical documentation for data collection and funder reporting.
• Forward internal referrals to the relevant programs with necessary information.
• Collaborate with both internal and external clients and customers.
• Monitor call-in times for clients on a 72-Hour Suicide Watch or requiring Safety Follow-Up.
• Extend work hours beyond the scheduled shift when crises arise or paperwork remains unfinished.
• Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions, including those outside regular shift hours.
• Be available to work evening and night shifts as needed.
• Support the hotline clinical coordinator in training new personnel.
• Keep program forms stocked and maintain a clean, organized hotline area.
• Complete required readings and projects that benefit Crisis or other departments.
• Attend in-person meetings, training, agency activities, and events outside of scheduled hours as requested.
• Must be a resident of Arizona.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in the behavioral health sector.
• Crisis experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Program development experience is preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Clear and effective communication capabilities.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Capacity to document detailed information accurately.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Maintain composure in crisis situations.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Recognize personal limitations.
• Ability to relate positively and empathetically to all individuals, regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
• Uphold professional conduct in accordance with ethical practices and agency policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while working remotely from home.
