
Wide Format Service Technician β Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Deliver technical support to customers via phone and onsite visits.
β’ Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventative maintenance on production printing equipment.
β’ Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
β’ Follow up with clients post-installation to confirm that expectations have been fulfilled and that the equipment is functioning correctly.
β’ Manage and coordinate upcoming installations, ensuring site readiness requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility are met.
β’ Deliver high-quality technical support by fulfilling service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
β’ Assist customers with inquiries regarding equipment and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
β’ Acquire a working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP systems to aid customer print production settings.
β’ Comprehend how RIP software governs print production and assist customers with general operational queries.
β’ Engage in ongoing training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
β’ Support sales teams by recognizing equipment upgrade prospects and aiding in technical assessments.
β’ Keep precise service records and documentation.
β’ Operate efficiently in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
β’ Minimum of 26 years of relevant field service experience.
β’ Proficient in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
β’ Experience with Canon wide format printing equipment is strongly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Onyx software and production RIP workflows is preferred.
β’ Strong knowledge of computers and networking.
β’ Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
β’ Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
β’ Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and related applications.
β’ Highly motivated and capable of working independently from a home office.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily within the Central and Eastern United States.
β’ Must hold a valid driverβs license with a clean driving record.
