
Wide Format Service Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Deliver technical support to customers via phone and onsite visits.
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software updates, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with clients post-installation to verify that expectations have been met and that the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Organize and oversee upcoming installations, ensuring readiness requirements like power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility are confirmed.
• Provide exceptional technical support by handling service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to equipment and offer advice on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a solid understanding of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer print production environments.
• Gain insight into how RIP software controls print production and help customers with general operational inquiries.
• Engage in continuous training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
• Support the sales team by identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades and participating in technical evaluations.
• Maintain precise service records and documentation.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• A minimum of 26 years of relevant field service experience.
• Proven experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and related technologies.
• Preference for experience with Canon wide format printing equipment.
• Desired working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
• Strong understanding of computers and networking.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly motivated and capable of working independently from a home office setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, mainly across the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
